BhaktiPatha (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the BhaktiPatha mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our app. By using BhaktiPatha, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve our services:

• Account data: name, mobile number, email address, password(passwords are securely processed and stored in encrypted or hashed form on secure servers), date of birth, and profile details you provide during registration or profile updates.
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload a photo using your device camera or gallery.
• Service and donation data: booking details, amounts, dates, and transaction references for puja, seva, donations, Hundi, astrology, and related devotional services.
• Payment metadata: Razorpay order IDs and payment references used to verify transactions. We do not collect or store full card numbers, UPI PINs, or complete payment credentials.
• Preferences: language selection and in-app settings stored locally on your device.
• Technical data: limited device and app usage information needed to maintain app performance, security, and support.

2. How We Use Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your access to the app.
• To deliver devotional content, service bookings, donations, and related app features.
• To process service and donation payments through Razorpay and maintain accurate transaction records.
• To provide customer support, respond to requests, and resolve issues.
• To protect the app against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• To improve app reliability, performance, and user experience.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as necessary to operate the app:

• Our servers and service providers: data is processed and stored on secure servers used to host, operate, and maintain the BhaktiPatha application and its backend services.
• Razorpay: payment information required to process service and donation transactions is shared with Razorpay, our payment processor. Razorpay handles payment processing in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

4. Permissions

BhaktiPatha may request the following device permissions to provide core app functionality:

• Camera access: used when you choose to capture a profile photo or other user-initiated content within the app.
• Gallery / media access: used when you choose to select and upload images from your device, such as a profile photo.
• Internet access: required to load content, authenticate your account, process bookings and donations, sync data with our servers, and deliver app updates and support.

You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not function properly if required permissions are disabled.

5. Storage and Security

• Access tokens, session data, and app preferences may be stored on your device to keep you signed in and preserve your settings.
• Personal data transmitted to our servers is protected using reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including secure connections and access controls.
• While we take appropriate steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or financial record-keeping.

7. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• You may review and update your profile information at any time within the app.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable law.
• You may withdraw consent for optional data processing where consent is the legal basis, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

How to request account deletion:

• In-app: go to Edit Profile → Delete Account and follow the on-screen steps to submit a deletion request.
• Email: contact us at msksharma108@gmail.com with the email address or mobile number associated with your account.
• Online form: submit a request via Delete User.

We will verify your identity before processing deletion requests and will confirm once your account and associated personal data have been removed, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.

8. Children

BhaktiPatha is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent where required by applicable law.

If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us at msksharma108@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Compliance with App Store Policies

BhaktiPatha is operated in accordance with applicable privacy and user safety requirements of the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including policies related to data collection disclosure, payment processing, account deletion, and child safety.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
